Artist Statement:
The Steel Revenant is a 3D animated short film about a robot who uncovers the evil of a bygone era. For my final college project, I wanted to create something as ambitious as possible. I believe I accomplished my goal.
The film aims to appeal to people who like Robots and Mystery. Visually, my project was influenced by the films 9 and The Wild Robot, stylized like the latter with the story tone of 9. I chose an almost monochromatic style. Color only appears on the decals, wires, and light reflections of the characters.
